Harmony BellyDance Company is based in Victoria, BC, Canada and is directed by Candace Aldridge Sanchez.  She offers classes beginner I through to intermediate level II, offers bellydance bootcamp and the authentic teachings of American Tribal Styles. She performs with her troupes Ruby Ruffles, Sapphire Lace and TangleWood throughout Vancouver Island and the lower mainland, performs with her Company Dancers twice a year at the their Annual Spring and Christmas shows locally and sponsors workshops and events through out Victoria.

Celebrating her TENTH year of Belly Dancing, and seventh year of insttructing, Candace focuses on building and teaching a solid dance form and foundation, and integrates all styles into her dance: Tribal, Cabaret, Indian, American Tribal Style and more.  Browse the site to learn more about Harmony BellyDance Co., classes and bellydance events in Victoria, all over Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Seattle and Oregon.   

Candace travels the World to receive as much training as she possibly can. She believes that there is no end to her learning as a student herself or as a teacher. To always come to the classroom with fresh and new ideas about movement, the way the body works, how we all learn as individuals is always forever ebbing and flowing from one moment to the next. To dance on the stage with the constant understanding that she is beyond lucky and furtunate to do everyday what she is so passionate about and share with others that same passion and knowledge is a part of her wildest dreams. Knowing that to continue on this very path will bring to her all the joy, love, wisdom and happiness that she could ever ask and hope for.

Candace and her performing troupe Ruby Ruffles are traveling to Hood River, Oregon to perform in their first International Show with renowned dancers, Mira Betz and Colette Todorov of Scarlet Thistle. They are beyond excited for this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to show their talents to the rest of the world. Bringing their west coast style and Candace's strong fusion pieces along with them they are sure to entertain the Oregon audience! Taking on a full weekend of Workshops with the illustrious and talented Mira Betz these ladies are sure to take their learning to yet another level and come home with many stories of all this amazing trip has to offer! Run for the Cure - Victoria's Shimmies for the Cure Team is at it Again :)

What do you get when you combine families, friends, belly dancers and love with hot pink harem pants? Well, only the best brightest blingiest team ever! Yes, Shimmies for a Cure will hoist their hot pink banner once again this year on October 3 joined by our new sister team in Kelowna during the Run for the Cure. This committed team is in their fourth year of bringing out the shimmy in this amazing event and worthwhile cause. 1 out of 9 Canadian women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and the number of men developing this form of cancer is increasing. Everyone has a story and no one's life is untouched by cancer and breast cancer. Please Read On for more information on this amazing event and team.
